DR. JACK DRUMMOND
Class of 1996

Dr. Drummond is a dedicated scholar-practitioner, leader, and community advocate who makes significant contributions across healthcare, education, and the arts. Dr. Drummond earned his Doctor of Education (EdD) from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, Chief Learning Officer Program. His dissertation directly aligns with his ongoing work. As a Restorative Practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania and other Organizations, he spearheads initiatives that promote psychological safety, community building, and conflict resolution in high-pressure settings. His research and professional focus emphasize the application of restorative frameworks to establish emotionally safe, inclusive spaces that value voice, accountability, and healing.

A passionate educator and mentor, he also leads the West Philadelphia String Music & Mentorship Program, an innovative initiative that trains boys and men of color in string music while embedding lessons of peacekeeping and leadership through restorative practices.

His career reflects a strong commitment to DEI. Even amid changing political landscapes that challenge DEI efforts, he has consistently found ways to sustain impactful work by integrating restorative approaches and community-driven strategies. His scholarship extends to teaching, consulting, and presenting/ training on restorative practices, leadership development, and educational equity.

Dr. Drummond is a classically trained violinist, published researcher, and community organizer who embodies a harmonious blend of artistic excellence, academic rigor, and deep community engagement. He holds a Master’s from UPenn & Lincoln University, and a Triple Bachelors of Science degree from Lincoln University. Dr. Drummond continues to utilize his expertise to uplift organizations, educational institutions, and communities through values-based leadership, relationship-centered practices, and a vision for enduring systemic change.
